UPDATE: AES Pole Replacement Impacts Traffic January 23

WILMINGTON – The previously scheduled full closure of N. Lincoln St. between Columbus St. and E. Locust St. for an AES pole replacement project has been rescheduled to January 23, 8 am -2 pm due to extreme temperatures affecting equipment operation. The traffic signals at the intersection of E. Locust and N. Lincoln St. will not be functioning while crews are working, however, a flagging operation will be in place directing traffic through the intersection.

AES is overseeing the project. Hydaker-Wheatlake Company is performing the work.

The City of Wilmington asks that all motorists be patient, reduce speed, and exercise added caution when traveling near this work zone. Questions regarding the closure may be made to the Office of the Director of Public Service, (937) 382-6509.
