Stormwater Appeal Request

Stormwater rates are based on the amount of impervious surface – like buildings, asphalt,
and concrete – within a property’s boundary line. Pursuant to Wilmington City Ordinance 924.10, appeals may be filed when a customer believes that the impervious area has been incorrectly calculated or applied, or when property
ownership or boundary is incorrect.

Requests for appeal must be submitted in writing, using the provided Stormwater Appeal Request form.
The form must be completed in it's entirety and submitted along with any supporting documentation. Documentation should include a printout or drawing of the area in question with accurate measurements and descriptions. Please note, any submitted documentation will not be returned to the property owner.
