Fall Leaf Pickup Program
The Street Maintenance & Repair department offers a Leaf Pick Up service for the benefit and convenience of its residents.
Guidelines
In order for the City to provide the best possible service to all customers, it is important that each resident understand and follow the rules and guidelines.
- Leaves should be raked to the edge of the curb (between the curb and sidewalk).
- Do not rake leaves into the street. Leaves in the street contaminate stormwater runoff and block catch basins and cause flooding.
- No branches, rocks, trash, or other debris should be placed in leaf piles. Branches and other debris mixed in with the leaves damage the equipment and will create delays in the collection process.
- Please remove all portable basketball rims from the street edge and curb line to expedite the collection process.
- Do not park on leaf piles. Please park in the driveway if possible.
Leaf Collection Process
- Starts: Beginning of November in the Southwest quadrant
- Proceeding clockwise to the next quadrant
- Each quadrant gets three passes
- One pass takes about one to two weeks
- Timing may vary based on weather and quantity of leaves
- Leaves in alleys will be picked up at the end of the third round.
