AES Transformer Replacement Impacts Traffic February 14

WILMINGTON โ€“ The City of Wilmington informs the public that AES will be replacing a transformer near the intersection of W. Locust Street and E. Main Street on Friday, February 14 from 8 am โ€“ 4 pm, weather permitting. While work is underway, N. Wood Street will be closed between W. Locust and E. Main Street. The traffic signal at the intersection of E. Main Street and N. Wood Street will not be functioning. This intersection will temporarily operate as an all-way stop.
AES is overseeing the project. Hydaker-Wheatlake Company is performing the work.

The City of Wilmington asks that all motorists be patient, reduce speed, and exercise added caution when traveling near this work zone. Questions regarding the closure may be made to the Office of the Director of Public Service, (937) 382-6509.
